We begin the adventure at your accomodation in Cusco or the Sacred Valley, heading towards Maras, where we’ll explore more than 3,000 terraced salt pools used since pre-Inca times. A stunning landscape steeped in history.
Afterwards we’ll enjoy a gourmet picnic on the mountain, with a special lunch prepared with local ingredients and haute cuisine techniques surrounded by nature.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Moray Sanctuary, an ancient Inca agricultural experimentation center with circular terraces that demonstrate this civilization’s advanced knowledge of microclimates.
We’ll start the day with an aquatic experience at Laguna Piuray, just 45 minutes from the Sacred Valley, where you can choose between a Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) session or a double kayak, surrounded by the tranquility of the Andes.
Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the lagoon in a relaxed setting.
We’ll continue with a visit to Señora Fiorella in Chichero, an expert in Andean textiles. She will share her ancestral knowledge in an authentic and enriching sesion. Here we’ll participate in creating our own colors and textiles.
To finish the day, we’ll visit the ruins of Chinchero and its iconic church.
Our private driver will pick us up again, heading to the town of Chinchero, this time to begin our hike along an authentic section of the Inca Trail, used by Andean cultures.
During the hike, we’ll enjoy an Uncharted-style box lunch, complete with all the comforts, surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
At the end, our transportation will take us back to our hotel in Cusco to rest, where we’ll have the evening free to try the city’s restaurants. We can recommend one or hel with any reservations you may need.
This day has been meticulously designed to offer you an immersive experience, combining the majesty of Inca architecture with the colonial beauty that defines Cusco.
In the morning, we will visit the Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), a temple dedicated to the sun god, which was the most important temple in the Inca Empire.
Departing, we will explore Cusco’s Historic Center, starting at the San Pedro Market, where we will see a wide variety of local fruits, vegetables, and tubers.
The next stop will be a stroll through Cusco’s Plaza de Armas and a tour that connects various attractions and historical sites in the city, such as the Twelve-Cornered Stone and San Blas Square, which we will explore by walking through the beautiful cobblestone streets and colonial balconies of the Historic Center.
Then we’ll head above the city for a delicious box lunch and explore the mysteries of the Sacsayhuamán ruins, with their gigantic stone blocks carved with astonishing precision. We’ll learn a little more about this incredible culture, which makes this city so fascinating.
By late afternoon, we’ll be ready to begin our next adventure.
